WHY CHOSE WYOGA TEACHER TRAINING?

WYoga’s focus is YOU the student. We offer authentic, accessible, and affordable yoga teacher training both in-person, virtually or a hybrid version. All of our one-on-one virtual, telephone sessions with the lead teacher, the mentors are included in the price of the training.

We have seen our yoga teacher training transform lives, create leaders and healers who change the world on a daily basis one yoga class at a time. Some of the best yoga teachers in Westchester NY graduated from our program.

We teach in an integrated way when we teach physiology we do so WITH the asana alignment AND philosophy. Instead of compartmentalizing we have found that teaching e.g. the standing poses while explaining the chakras that are associated with them, and how to teach safely with the joints and muscles TOGETHER the trainees remember more.

WYoga is developing it’s online offering with our youtube channel. Perhaps you can help us level up our digital offerings? The program is a grassroots movement and was created by Wendy, our owner. She created all of this without having any professional experience in media production. She’s proud of what she created knowing fully well that is can be better. If partnering with Wendy to continue to offer and improve content email her wendywyoga@gmail.com

We have free content on youtube and on Instagram!

Curriculum

History

Yoga is many millenia young… learn the main lineages in the West where they come from and equally the timeline of the ancient texts that are the foundation of yoga.

Philosophy & Science

Understanding yogic philosophy is one thing, but making it applicable to the our daily lives is what makes it truly transformative. Our program seeks to make these texts meaningful and miraculous in our daily lives.

WYoga’s trainings all have a Trauma informed component, how to teach Trauma informed Yoga. What Trauma is, what it does to the mind and how we can teach with this awareness for the safety of our students.

Postures

Learn the alignment of the basic postures (we tackle the advanced asanas in the RYT300) and how to teach, keeping the student safe and enthusiastic about yoga. Our program gives you a class plan, so that you are ready to go and teach even before you graduate.

Anatomy

Understanding the systems of the body, how the skeletal system works in tandem with the muscles, ligaments and joints - is key to being a good yoga teacher. Our program overlaps the chakras with the systems of the body, with the asanas for an integrative holistic learning experience.

Sequencing

In our lineage the order of the class has a specific role, it is in the order of the chakras… beyond that understanding how to teach one pose to the next so that it flows seamlessly and prepares the body for the next set of poses is a key part our training. For advanced sequencing join our RYT300 program

Pranayama and Meditation

Breath practice and Meditation are essential elements to the yoga practionner and teacher. Our RYT200 program teaches how to instruct pranayama and its importance merged with recent research. Learn how mediation can actually shape our genes… this is the introductory level. We delve deeper into this in the RYT300.
